How Does iShopFor Ipsos Work?

You go into a store pretend you're a normal customer. Although, some that tasks can be done online, sometimes you need to make a purchase then at the end you provide your feedback and you turn a little bit of money for your efforts. The nice thing about iShopFor Ipsos is they pay out via gift cards, no complicated point system, real money you'd be earning through paypal and there's no minimum payout threshold and it should only take seven to ten days for the money to be deposited into your account once your work has been approved. There have been some complaints.

The sign up process on there is fairly straightforward. It's more or less available worldwide. You could download their app for both ios or android and you will be required to provide some personal information about yourself, like your phone number, your tax identification number and your social security number and not everyone's comfortable doing that but you have to if you want to get jobs on here.
They actually have two platforms you can sign up on: Shopmetrics and Sassie, that's what they're called and each has different jobs, so you might want to sign up to both of them. I don't know why they do it that way, but there's two platforms that you sign up on separately.

As far as the type of jobs you'd be doing, there are two types: there's in-store and the second is web or phone type jobs. Most of the jobs on here seem to be web and phone related which is nice because it means you don't have to travel, you can just do these from the comfort of your own home but aside from that, both job, types are very similar. You'll need to apply to each one individually and it'll show you the pricing, location and details beforehand, so you know what you're getting yourself into.
They let you know whether you've been accepted at least two days prior to the date of the job, so some of them will require you to complete a short quiz beforehand, so there are a few steps that it involves before you can actually complete a job.

On the job you might have to interact with staff, so that sounds scary but in some cases interact with staff or just maybe take photos or or film videos or audio maybe and sometimes you even have to purchase something from the store but the nice thing is you'll be reimbursed. They'll reimburse you for any purchases you make and then you'll need to submit a report afterwards, it's basically a survey, just detailing your findings and then your work will be reviewed before they can pay you out.

How much do these jobs pay?

That's the big question. Well, generally between 10 and 30 dollars per job which is pretty standard for mystery shopping websites. Keep in mind, you can't sit there all day or drive from store to store doing mystery shopping gigs all day every day because there aren't enough to go around and also depends where you live, if you live in a big city like Los Angeles or London or Toronto you'll have more jobs available, if you live somewhere more rural you'd be lucky to get one job a month. So if you live in a big city it might be worth checking out.

People are saying that they haven't gotten paid, their work was rejected even though they followed the instructions, so hopefully nothing is dodgy is going on with the payments.

But even if iShopFor Ipsos is legit and let's say they pay out as promised, you need to ask yourself are mystery shopping apps in general the best use of your time? I don't think they are, unless you enjoy this sort of work because even if you really hustled and you signed up to every mystery shopping website out there in your city, you can't turn this into a full-time income, you can't even turn this into a decent side income, you might earn an extra one or two hundred dollars a month but that's not going to keep a roof over your head, that's not going to allow you to quit your job and spend more time with your family, so for the amount of work you'd be putting in I just don't think it's worth it.
If you look at the app and you see okay there's a bunch of jobs in a small radius and it's close by, it's not having to commute travel 30 minutes or an hour away then it might be worth checking out some of these jobs but as far as turning this into like a full-time career, you're not going to be able to do that, it's impossible. That's my opinion at least. I think if you're going to put all this energy in towards mystery shopping you'd be better off putting your efforts towards something else and that's my two cents and you can take it for what it's worth.
