They've both been around for around 30 years and National Consumer Panel has a 3.8 rating on facebook with 4 000 votes, I'm sure they're real votes, so I'm pretty sure they're trustworthy and if you're interested in this opportunity you'd actually need to apply and whether or not you'd get accepted is all based on your demographics.
First of all, you should live in the US, also they want to know things like how many people are in your household, what city you live in, your income things, like that. It's all based on demographics.

Assuming you are accepted, there are four ways you can potentially earn points on here:
There's of course the scanning and how many points you get is a bit confusing, some people say 20 to 50 points per item, other say 150 points per week but I think it depends on how long you're a member and where exactly you're shopping and where you live.
The items you can purchase are going to cost at least 8 000 points that you can redeem, they're going to be 8 000 points and above normally. I don't know what that translates into dollar terms to be honest.

Overall, National Consumer Panel is a perfectly decent app but just understand you're not going to get rich doing this sort of work, you won't be able to pay all your bills or quit your job.
